This event is all about empowering women in the world of fly fishing while extending a warm welcome to enthusiasts of all gender identities. Discover the beauty of fly casting in a supportive and diverse environment. Our instructors from TU’s Spokane Women on the Fly are all skilled female anglers. Our instructors will guide participants through the techniques and nuances of this elegant sport and teach walk-up beginners basic fly casts needed in most fishing situations.
If you have a rod and want to bring it, great, but we will have plenty to borrow. We will be casting on grass and with no hooks, so no fishing license is required. You need only bring your enthusiasm for learning to cast and forging connections with fellow conservation minded anglers.
